Teaching is not just a profession for me; it is a calling that grounds me and connects me to my highest self. It aligns me with a greater purpose. When I step into the role of a teacher, my heart resonates with my students’, transcending the subject matter to nurture the person in front of me. Regardless of age, whether they are 5 or 95, I meet each student exactly where they are in their journey.
Teaching is an energy that elevates my spirit. Over the past 35 years, my students have touched my heart and soul in ways I never imagined. It has been an honor to create sacred spaces where knowledge is shared, and where genuine connections are made.
I feel a deep connection to humanity through them, and the web of shared learning we create together is nothing short of magical—truly a gift. Each student offers me an opportunity to grow, to seek new perspectives, to explore deeper questions, and to refine my own experiences. And in this process, I am reminded of the power of vulnerability—the luminous, precious kind that fosters growth, understanding, and connection.
My background and experience…
With over 35 years of teaching experience, I am passionate about sharing what I’ve learned—and what I am continuously discovering! I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music Education with an emphasis in voice from Michigan State University.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching music, drama, and dance in public schools and community colleges across Michigan and Illinois.
For 16 years, I worked as a professional actor, singer, and vocal coach in Chicago, performing in over 100 professional theatrical productions, including summer stock and regional theatre across the country. (Click here to view my theatrical résumé.)
My background also includes extensive training in various dance and movement modalities, including jazz, modern, ballet, tap, Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, and four belts in the Nia Technique. I’ve woven these influences together to create Divine Feminine Dance™, a movement practice designed to empower and inspire women.
My interest in sound healing was sparked during my music therapy studies in college. Today, I integrate alchemy crystal singing bowls into my sound baths, offering a deeply immersive and holistic experience. I am also certified in First and Second Degree Reiki, which I incorporate into all my work, bringing an extra layer of energetic healing.
With a compassionate heart, I hold space for authenticity, truth, and inner wisdom in all my sessions, workshops, and events—infusing them with playfulness, creativity, fun, and healing.
For over a decade, I was deeply grateful to live and share my work on the beautiful island of Maui, a place that profoundly shaped both my life and my work. I also spent several years living and offering my work along Florida’s Gulf Coast, where I continued to expand my offerings in music, movement, sound healing, women’s empowerment, and transformational experiences.
Today, I am pleased to be based in Modesto, California, where I offer piano and voice lessons, sound healing experiences, Divine Feminine Dance™, women’s gatherings, workshops, and retreats. Through virtual lessons and online programs, I continue to serve clients and students throughout the United States and around the world, while also returning to Maui periodically to offer masterclasses, retreats, and special events. 💙
